Now, on your computer, open any relevant browser of your choice. After that, into the address bar field, enter belkin.range or default IP address of your device. Next, click on login button which is situated on the upper right corner of the home screen.
Here, you will be prompt to enter username and password and click on the submit button. Now, under the utilities button, click on save or backup settings. Now, in the save/ backup settings window, hit on save.
A window will appear, asking you for saving the configuration file. Here, you have to click on save. At last, select a desired location for the configuration file and hit on next.

Downloading the Firmware
Before updating your router with the latest firmware, you are supposed to download and save the update firmware file on your computer/ laptop from www.belkin.range. If you experience problems during the download process, use another browser. But before anything else, clear all the browsing history, cache, cookies, malware and malicious files from your device.

Performing the Update Process
The firmware of router can easily be updated via web-based setup page.
First of all, launch an internet browser (any) and type default IP address of your device into its URL field and press enter. After that, click on login at the top-right corner of the belkin.range setup page.
Enter your router’s password and click on submit. Now, on the utilities section in the left navigation panel and hit on firmware update. Next, click on Browse and search for the file that is previously saved.
Important Note: For Mac computers, the downloaded files are saved usually in the Downloads Folder.
Choose the firmware file and hit on open. Once done, click update and after that, you will be prompt to continue with upgrade. So, once you are done with it, click on OK. Also, remember that a prompt that advises you NOT to reboot or turn off the main router at the end of the upgrade process will appear soon.
Click on OK once you are done with it. The router’s firmware update status will be appeared. Once the update process is completed successfully, you are supposed to wait for a couple of seconds. Click on OK once the router is done with the rebooting process.
If you encounter failure or see an error message during the update process, it is recommended to power cycle your router and computer prior to run the update process again. If this also doesn’t work, then repeat the same process on another computer/ laptop to isolate the issue. In case the issue still persists, reset the router to factory defaults and contact our technical department immediately.
